Our Spring Black Bear hunts are conducted primarily by spot & stalk methods. The use of bait or hounds is prohibited in Montana. This is a great time to hunt Black Bears as they are emerging from their dens and tend to be out moving around alot and their coat is long and shiney. The weather this time of year (late April - early May) is typically very nice.You are required to provide your own accommodations & meals during this hunt but we provide all the equipment, guides and transportation. We encounter various color phases of Black Bear from copper to dark brown to jet black.
